Wow, designing a website and blog is not quite as simple as I first thought it would be. I mean sure, its easy enough to figure it out and get any old thing up on the web but the tweaking is really where the hard part comes in. In my over-confidence, of course I thought it’d be a couple hours work max to get something setup and tweaked but coming at this cold turkey with essentially zero website experience I had no idea that there were so many variables to become acquainted with – Phew!
Good thing there are so many good resources out there to help walk one through the weeds. One resource that was very helpful that I’d like to point out was GoDaddy’s blog on blogging as well as their other resources. GoDaddy wasn’t the only helpful resource though.
My brother has a website – a very successful one and so his insight and guidance have also been instrumental in helping to get this site launched. So I’d like to publicly thank him for his help in all of this too. THANK YOU!
There are also a TON of other resources out there from other bloggers. I found the information by simply googling it so thank you also to my now fellow bloggers! Love some of the tips!
Anyways, the purpose of this post isn’t to simply highlight a few things that were challenging to overcome and say thank you to everyone who aided this project get off the ground but also to get you, the reader’s, feedback on how well the site functions from both a content and usability perspective. So what do you think? What else do I need to work on and improve? What are your favorite resources?
Let me know in the comments below – I really appreciate it!
